Achilles Tendinitis

Achilles tendinitis is a common condition that causes pain along the back of the leg near the heel. In an area where the Achilles tendon becomes inflamed and causes pain. Achilles tendon is generally caused by overuse of the affected limb and is more common among athletes.

Bunions

A bunion is a deformity of the joint connecting the big toe to the foot. Bunions can most commonly affect the inner foot at the base of the big toe. They can also affect the outside of the foot at the base of the little toe.

Callus is a thick, hardened layer of skin that develops in response to repeated friction, pressure, or other irritation. Calluses vary in size and shape; though they’re often larger than corns.

Fallen Arches

Fallen arches occur when the arch of the foot collapses. The foot usually has an upward curve in the middle, called an arch, which is formed by tendons. Tendons are tight bands that attach to the heel and foot bones. When these tendons stop pulling together properly, there is little or no arch, resulting in a fallen arch.

Hammer toe is a deformity of the big toe bending at the middle joint, which resembles a hammer. Hammer toe usually results from shoes that don’t fit properly or a muscle imbalance; usually in combination with one or more other factors.

A heel spur develops as an abnormal growth of the heel done. Obese people, flat footed people, and people who often wear high-heeled shoes are most susceptible to heel spurs.

Metatarsalgia is a type of pain and inflammation that occurs in the ball-of-the-foot. It is a common problem which can affect the bones and joints of the metatarsals, which often becomes painful and inflamed.

Morton’s Neuroma is a common foot problem associated with pain, swelling and/or an inflammation of a nerve; most commonly in the area of the ball-of-the-foot between the third and fourth toes.

Over Pronation

Over pronation is not a foot injury but if you over pronate, it may cause a number of foot injuries. Pronation occurs when you are walking or running and your foot naturally rolls inwards. Pronation is normal but not for those whose foot rolls in too much and tend to over pronate as to having flat feet.

Plantar Fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain. It occurs when your plantar fascia becomes inflamed.  Plantar fasciitis typically causes a stabbing pain in the bottom of your foot near the heel.
